Breastfeeding Family Friendly Community
2016: Chapel Hill and Carrboro
The Towns of Carrboro and Chapel Hill continue to support this expanding initiative with proclamations signifying that the communities are Breastfeeding Family Friendly. In June, 2016, the Town of Chapel Hill read the Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities proclamation. The Mayor, Pam Hemminger, is standing with three representatives of the Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities Team!
The Town of Carrboro also read the proclamation during its meeting in June, 2016!
2018: Durham
On August 6, 2018, Mayor Stephen M. Schewel proclaimed the City of Durham a Breastfeeding Friendly Community (BFFC). BFFC Durham looks forward to future collaborations with businesses and institutions throughout the city and county to meet the needs of breastfeeding mothers.
2018: Chapel Hill
On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Chapel Hill continued its commitment to Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities! The Proclamation was read during the Town Council meeting. Joining Council Member Donna Bell are two supporters of the Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities initiative.
2018: Carrboro
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, Carrboro also continued its commitment to Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities by proclaiming Carrboro to be a Breastfeeding Family Friendly Community. Two representatives of the Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities initiative received the proclamation from Carrboro Mayor, Lydia Lavelle!
